Here is what others have had to say about Joe Glassford and his teaching…

I would like to personally recommend that Joe Glassford continue to instruct classes for General Motors. The manor in which he teaches is, “Obtainable knowledge for every type of student”. He has vast knowledge of vehicle electrical and mechanical, instructing on electronic properties and their interaction with mechanical functions.

I have had numerous instructors throughout my education and believe that Joe Glassford is one of the best instructors. Continuing education is one of the keys to a better quality product. Learning is the purpose of in house training. This obligation falls completely upon the instructor. His importance in helping to bring knowledge, taught in an understandable and retainable format needs to be acknowledged for an outstanding job.

Joe’s teaching methods made the course outstanding because of the day to day related experiences in the shop. Student at seminar conducted @ Central Oregon Community College, Bend, OR

I found this guy after seaching the web http://999.26f.myftpupload.com/ I found the ignition source wire was the wrong one. It was dropping 5vdc when it was suppose to be .500mv. Moved closer to the firewall plug, the ignition wires split, one was about 14ga and the other was 10ga. I was using the smaller one, when I swapped over to the 10ga, it fired up with the spout bar in place. Looked at this a 100 times, never thought for a minute the wire size would prevent enough voltage to reach the TFI. From Pirate 4×4.com website.

I’d like to thank this guy too, I purchased his information and after following it figured out the problem.

Below are comments from buyers and users of my new book:

The “Hands On” Vehicle Testing Reference

I’ve read some of the book. It’s the best I’ve ran across in my many years of looking for materials. It’s so handy I can’t believe it doesn’t take up a lot of room. I’ve only scratched the surface but it will be with me forever. I’ve bought some books online before and can’t believe how much more this has. Believe me when I say it’s what I need and more. I am so great full to you Joe, this book is just unbelievably filled with stuff I need. I haven’t read a book yet until yours that gives descriptions of shorts, all of them with detailed descriptions, short to ground, power and options of testing. I love the detailed pictures. Most books aren’t very clear on the connections. You hit a home run! Many many thanks. Mark C.

I wanted to let you know that your book was such a great help to me.  I am now not afraid to tackle diagnosing electrical problems.  You’ve taught me more than my teachers at school.  Thanks for putting out the book!  Juan

The miscellaneous tid bits of information in your latest book are remarkable! Paul J.

Ok Joe, I was skeptical, but with a first name like yours, you must know something. Then I got to thinking about what I read on your web site and I thought that it made sense, but your numbers are obviously too high. So out to a truck I went using the blower motor circuit as a test. Running it on the lower speeds and confirming the amperage draw with an ammeter, I found your numbers to be very, very close. I would have never thought of using voltage drop across a fuse to approximate the amperage in a circuit. With your chart, it is a very quick test. Congratulations for thinking out of the box (and making me think). Joseph A.

Received your book yesterday. I cannot thank you enough for making this available to people like us. I’m 68 years old and have been doing mechanical work for the last 50 years. I have done a lot of electrical work in those years and spent most of the time stumbling through it. I am not the only one by far. I have heard a lot of stories over the years. Once again thank you for putting this book out.  Paul

My name is Ernest and want to thank you for the information on fretting.  I have found several problems . I didn’t understand this fretting. Your book article showed me how to find problems . Thanks again. Ernest S.

I purchased Joe’s books. Very informative and written in plain English… Brad H.

I have purchased all of Joe Glassford’s books, and they have a wealth of info in them. I have learned so much that I can apply right away. Always use them as a reference and keep them quite close. Money well spent. Period. Steve B.
